William Balfour Is At Stateville Prison Awaiting Parole Violation Hearing…

Joliet, IL—The person detained in connection with the triple murder and kidnapping of Actress Jenifer Hudson’s family, William "Flex" Balfour is on ice at the venerable Stateville Correctional Facility. He is awaiting a hearing on allegations of parole violations. Balfour is ineligible for bail. Parole officials have a much lower standard of proof needed to revoke his parole than in a criminal court matter.

The longest they can keep Balfour incarcerated is until May 2009 when his entire carjacking, attempted murder sentence expires.

The FBI became involved but now lost jurisdiction because it’s evident no state lines were crossed. Chicago police now has the time to gather their evidence without fear of their suspect fleeing. The FBI may assist police with analysis of the forensic evidence that is abundant.

I can’t believe William Balfour’s stupid mother on Nancy Grace. “Oh my poor son. Everybody is just lyin’ about him. He never attempted to murder anybody ever before. That man he stoll the car from just shouldn’t tried to stop him from stealin it. He jumped up on the car. Damn he shoulda just let him steal it. Don’t Ya Know he just a poor innocent littl’ baby. All he ever wanted was to just join some gangs, and sleep with all kinda girls. They was just all up in his business.”

I AGREE with the comments about Balfour's mother. As a mother you can't put your head in the sand after your son carjacks someone and tries to kill them not to mention the death threats to the hudson family. Stateville isn't easy street perhaps after spending some time there and when other inmates find out he killed or knows who killed the little boy he could be in for a world of trouble. What a coward for hiding information and not coming forward. If you were tough you would want people to know what you're capable of instead people think you are weak.

Balfour wasn't at Stateville proper. Up until today or tomorrow (Jan. 28) he was at Stateville NRC, which is located behind the main prison. It's an entirely separate facility, much newer, and closer to a Supermax as far as the cell structure is concerned.
