They call our criminal justice system, the best in the world. That may be true, but it’s far from perfect.I’ve taken exception to the Scott Peterson double murder verdict for the most fundamental reasons. There was no proof of an actual crime!
Imagine being on trial for your life and some dysfunctional nutjob is selected to sit on the jury and decide your fate. That’s exactly what happened in the Scott Peterson case.
The People Magazine hitting the streets today has the story of Peterson juror, 36 year-old Richelle Nice who has apparently become a “pen pal” of the man she condemned to death. Nice and Peterson have exchanged some two-dozen letters during the year following Peterson’s trip to death row.
People Magazine is reporting that in December, Nice suffered a mental breakdown and was hospitalized in a psychiatric ward. Nice began this bizarre correspondence with Peterson at the suggestion of her therapist.
Potential jurors are always required to disclose arrests or convictions but nobody asks them about their mental health history which could ultimately be much more important. Since Nice was in therapy during the trial it’s obvious that this should raise the specter of her lack of competency when given the task of determining reasonable doubt for a man on trial for his life.

What a world we live in.
I could write a book about how many things Scott was abused over. I would say the media was number one. Sharon Rocha and family didn't help sitting everyday right next to the jury.
Detective Brocchini sat there on his fat rump and blatently lied.
The Judge was agains't Scott from the beginning.
So what if scott Peterson cheated on his wife. Why do so many people hate him when they should be tending to their own family matters. If Scott cheated that was his business.

Everyone seemed to profit with the almighty dollar and all the players have moved up in rank one way or another.
But you know something? I am praying every single day that our appeals Court will give Scott the justice that he deserves. For goodness sakes there is NO evidence.
The icing on the "strawberry shortcake" says it all.
What has happened to our justice system?
I only hope that Scott has the last laugh.
He, however is bigger and better than that.
I'd give my name but to be honest I am not at all afraid of Scott Peterson, I am actually afraid of what some ignorant citizen or illegal immigrant - (we seem to have a large population of illegals today- but who really cares?) might do to me or my family.
I was ashamed to be an American the day the lynch mob was waiting outside of the San Mateo courthouse to cheer and degrade poor Jackie Peterson as she left the courthouse. She has more class and strenth in her little finger than all those nasty, cruel people out there that day.
As for Richelle Nice, well, she is a very mentally sick person and had no business being on that jury.
Why didn't Richelle let anyone know that while she sat on Scotts jury she was also being represented by the San Mateo district Attorney's office re: your three different petitions for child support. Pre trial, during the trial, and post trial.
How about that one people??? Or is that all okay too because it's Scott peterson?
Lying about relevant stuff, and this is really relevant, shouldn't be legal (and isn't).
I can't help feeling like she wrote him to explore whether she did the right thing.
