Valley Village, CA —Six men were shot and four of them have died at a shooting on April 3 at the Hot Spot Café. The men killed were identified by police as, Harut Baburyan, 28, Sarkis Karadjian, 26, Vardan Tofalyan, 31, and Hayk Yegnanyan, 25. Now the LAPD has named their suspect as Nerses Arthur Galstyan , 28 who is also wanted along with others by the BATFE for charges of selling three firearms without a license to a paid informant. Rumors have circulated that the shooting may be part of a dispute among Armenian gang members. Police are also looking for a connection between this shooting and the unsolved Hollywood murder of Karyn Safaryan at the apartment building where she lived. Moscow, Russia —I deal with a lot of adoption cases but I find this one incredibly painful to think about. A seven year-old boy was put on a plane to Moscow with a note in his pocket he could not read. The note was from Torry Hansen , a woman who adopted the child and now wanted to rid herself of the challenges of motherhood. She merely dumped the kid on the plane like taking a bad dog back to the shelter. She claimed the kid was psychotic and complained that she was misled about the boy’s mental health. So far no living witness has been produced to place the retired Cleveland auto worker at the camp. Witnesses have testified that Ukrainians like Demjanjuk were forced to serve the Nazi’s under the threat of execution if they refused. That’s hardly evidence that Demjanjuk had done anything wrong at all. The “smoking gun” evidence is an identity card. Another identity card produced by agents of the U.S. Office of Special Investigations seemed to show that Demjanjuk was the notorious, Ivan the Terrible at yet another camp. Chicago,IL —According to a report published today by secondcityccop.blogspot.com Chicago police Superintendent Jody P. Weis has been accused by a retired homicide sergeant, John Northen of cowardice and inattention to duty. Weis was out with police patrolling in the 007 Englewood district where shooting broke out. Instead of Weis, a sworn armed officer responding and aiding his fellow officers he fled the area. A complaint was formally made and must be investigated. I can’t imagine any Chicago policemen surviving a similar complaint without being suspended for 30 days pending separation for this kind of offense.
