40 years ago some wag suggested that every passenger be issued with a hand gun as he boarded the plane. That way, if someone said, "I'm hijacking this plane to Cuba" the passengers could all have a frank discussion about what was actually going to happen.
Perhaps that wasn't such a bad idea compared with the TSA efforts?
