Drew Peterson's Lawyer Weighs In On The Blago Impeachment

Chicago, IL-- It seems I’m not the only one that is suspect of the impeachment efforts against Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich. I’ve argued that there is an effort to, discredit and destroy the governor while covering up the wrongdoing of others. The Illinois Legislature is unlawfully engaged in an obstruction of justice by blocking any evidence helpful to the governor’s defense.

You cannot deny any American of the basic right to confront an accuser or bring forth witnesses in any proceeding where life, liberty or property is at stake. The governor’s employment contract and paycheck is certainly property.

Joel Brodsky, the attorney who represents retired Bolingbrook Illinois police sergeant Drew Peterson has also taken exception to the lawless Illinois Legislature’s efforts to violate the governor’s civil rights.

Earthquake!

Los Angeles, CA—7:42 PM--The building I was in began shaking in an up and down movement. Then it was rolling back and forth. Having just eaten I think I’m about to barf it all up.

A check on line with the U.S. Geological Survey Earthquake website I got the details. It was a little rattler in or around Marina Del Rey.

According to various local news sources It seems we were lucky that there were apparently no injuries or damage reported.

What’s Next for Blago? I Must Be Psychic!

Springfield, IL—It will be a short and not so sweet formality as the Senate hears allegations and convicts the embattled Governor, Rod Blagojevich ordering him removed from office. The Lt. Governor will move right into Blago’s office and take over as he makes a big sanctimonious and self-serving speech.

Lawyer, Ed Genson is already drafting his complaint for Violation of Civil Rights and a Petition for a Temporary Restraining Order blocking the impeachment order pending full judicial review. The likelihood for success is significant since in theory the Illinois Legislature is not above the law.

Anyone who thinks impeachment will be a slam–dunk process is sadly mistaken. Remember where you read this first!

An Update: Blago’s lawyer Ed Genson announced he is planning to withdraw as his counsel. Genson cited serious communications issues with the beleaguered governor.

It’s anyone’s guess when, if or who will file anything at all in court on Blago’s behalf. I don't think Blago will just fall on his sword anytime soon.

Governor Rod Blagojevich Is Absolutely Right About The Impeachment Railroad Job

Chicago, IL-- Governor Rod Blagojevich is absolutely correct in his assessment of the Illinois Senate impeachment effort to remove him from office. They are violating his rights under the Constitution.

I’ve never been a fan of this beleaguered governor or the people he ran with. The rub here is twofold not only do they violate Blago’s rights his co-conspirators will escape any scrutiny or cross-examination.

We will never learn the facts from the players of this sordid affair. There will be no transparency and crooks will be protected. That is not good public policy.

This is more about a cover-up to protect the administration of Barack Obama than an effort to remove the Governor.

Governor Rod Blagojevich deserves the same due process we afford child killers.

New York Senate Appointment is A Shocker!

Albany, NY—Instead of appointing that very liberal, Camelot Daughter, Caroline Kennedy, Governor Dave Paterson, has picked a little-known, upstate Congresswoman Kirsten Gillibrand to succeed Hillary Rodham Clinton as New York's junior senator. Most shocking of all, Gillibrand was backed by the National Rifle Association! Maybe there is a glimmer of hope left in America.

Cops, Private Eyes and True Crime Buffs Blogging

Los Angeles, CA—I’m not sure just how this contagious blogging phenomena has enslaved so many cops, private eyes and others but we are here.

It’s a labor of love with few rewards. For everyone who likes what I write there must be ten who don’t. I never log on to please everyone. Opinions, sarcasm and mean spirited jabs are everywhere in the blogosphere.

My goal is not to convince people as much as to invite thought and more importantly solutions for problems examined throughout the criminal justice system.

I’m a tough gun rights advocate that hates the death penalty. I demand fair trials due process for people accused of crimes. At the same time I support those three strikes laws that keep criminals behind bars.

As a blogger I must write about fun things in life too. I enjoy surprising my visitors with more than just the ugly things in our lives.
