In every big city run by Democrats, chaos is the daily special. Gun crime is out of control, but so is every other crime. Carjackings, robberies, assaults, murders, all flourishing like weeds in the garden of leftist stupidity. The reason is no mystery. Reduced enforcement, no cash bail, and endless leniency have turned America’s cities into dangerous wastelands. Look no further than Charlotte, North Carolina, where a young Ukrainian woman was savagely murdered on the light rail. No gun was involved. The true killers were prosecutors and judges who handed Decarlos Brown Jr. a free pass for 14 prior violent crimes. They might as well have sharpened the knife for him.
And then we get the classic nonsense line from the political left: “Government can’t just arrest its way out of crime.” Absolute garbage. Of course it can. Put criminals in cages and the streets get safer. That’s not complicated.
Punishment works. It deters crime. It makes people think twice. Leniency is nothing more than a green light for predators. Every time Democrats go soft, crime spreads like cancer.
But instead of admitting the obvious, Democrats do what they always do — they point their shaky fingers at law-abiding Americans who keep and bear arms. They’d rather slander gun owners than face their own failures. It’s pathetic, it’s dishonest, and it’s silly.
