As long time criminal defense investigator, I can’t help but notice a foul odor connected to the arrest by Lapd officers of rock star Scott Shriner’s wife Jillian.   Jillian Shriner, better known by her pen name Jillian Lauren, is a bestselling author. Not only was she arrested, but she suffered a gunshot wound inflicted by a cop.   This thing unfolded as cops were chasing a trio of black males in the LA suburb of Eagle Rock California.  They ran from a freeway into the neighborhood.  With all the sirens and commotion , apparently Jillian Shriner came out to her driveway gun in hand.  Allegedly she fired her gun at the wanted suspects.  Were they a threat to her? Westwood, Los Angeles, CA —A deadly dispute between two engineering Ph.D   eggheads at the UCLA   campus yesterday was turned into an unnecessary and obscene military commando exercise by authorities.   UCLA Police   officers  immediately responded to a shooting scene and found two dead males.   They appeared to have suffered fatal gunshot wounds from a low powered handgun and a recently fired 9MM pistol lay nearby.   Additionally there was a suicide note that made this somewhat clear to be an isolated Murder/Suicide event.   What followed was nothing less than what we’d expect from an out-of-control fascist government.   The authorities turned this into a massive training exercise that disrupted and disturbed the entire region. Isla Vista, CA —Yes, I’m calling him, The YouTube Maniac .   Elliot Rodger was a very affluent young man with a sleek black BMW living in the paradise of this coastal community.  The problem was this fellow was an apparent serious social looser who could not get laid.  He was also under the out patient care of a psychiatrist.   The killer was the 22-year-old son of Peter Rodger , an assistant director on the wildly successful Hunger Games film series.   This young man traveled the world with his father and actress stepmother.   This privileged youngster had access to stunning stars like Jennifer Lawrence and Katy Perry.  Last night, the young Rodger stabbed three people to death then drove around looking for young women to shoot and kill.  Before it was over seven lay dead.  Police have not yet released the names, ages or sex of any of Rodger’s victims. Los Angeles, CA —This morning, Pennsville, New Jersey native Paul Anthony Ciancia, 23 was apparently a ticketed passenger.  His parents as described him as being suicidal.  Allegedly Ciancia removed a carbine and stormed the TSA checkpoint easily breaching it entering the passenger terminal area.  LAX police officers responded to this engaging and critically wounded the lone gunman. As many as seven were injured and one TSA worker was killed.  Ciancia is believed to be under FBI guard in critical condition after surgery at the UCLA Reagan Medical Center . Phoenix, AZ —Tempe criminal lawyer Joseph Palmisano appeared before a a judge this morning with his lawyer Jason Goldstein on charges of Atempted 2 nd Degree Murder and kidnapping in connection with the shooting of Ryan Hall , 25.  Bail was set in the amount of $180,000.00. According to a police report, Palmisano who was in his car allegedly approached Ryan Hall in the lawyer’s parking lot with a .357 handgun.   As the lawyer exited his vehicle he  approached and  ordered Hall at gunpoint out of his car.   Hall grabbed the barrel of the lawyer’s gun and during the struggle Hall was shot in the back.   Unnamed witnesses observed Palmisano entering his office with gun in hand.  Police took the cooperative Palmisano into custody without incident.
