Los Angeles, CA —I have to admit it I enjoy watching the original Two and a Half Men Show a lot.  It is filled with references to Charlie Sheen’s lust for sex, drugs, rock and roll.  There is no sexual subject off limits in this masterpiece of satire.  Is this really an icon of our moral decay?  I don’t think so.  Unless of course you take the story’s line too seriously. To understand the world we live in these racy subjects should not be off limits but perhaps displayed as an example of the irreverence, excess and self-destruction.  The show’s characters are all flawed and dysfunctional.  This is comedy and all comedy is born of pain.  We laugh as these fictional people are put through their paces.  We can’t take this show seriously because it’s fiction and fantasy. Los Angeles, CA —I don’t watch television beyond some news programming. Most television is total crap especially with all the poorly contrived reality programming. I got hooked on Two and a Half Men after seeing it on several airline flights. The show is hilarious and the original cast is wonderful. The writing is top notch and Charlie Sheen has proven himself to be a gifted actor and comedian. No group of humans can create an entertainment masterpiece without a lot of blood, sweat and tears. Sometimes people become unreasonable and also very hurtful. We can guess what happened between the show’s creative geniuses, Lee Aronsohn, Chuck Lorre and Charlie Sheen . Sherman Oaks, CA—Charlie Sheen is embroiled in a media war unpatrolled anywhere in history. I’m not sure what’s really going on in Sheen’s world. For all I know this whole apocalypse could be nothing more than a giant publicity stunt. By all appearances this multi-millionaire is going through a meltdown fueled by alcohol, drugs and the largest ingredient, massive ego. Is this all just an act? There is no shortage of comedy, heartbreak and drama in this media Armageddon. “Sheen’s Korner” broadcasts are done with a simple computer with broadband, a cheap camera and ordinary household lighting. Anyone, almost anywhere could do better quality broadcasts than Sheen has produced so far. The public lure of Sheen’s broadcasts seems to be sheer morbid voyeurism. Hollywood, CA —I was not going to weigh in on this story until I began to think of the huge collateral damage caused by the abrupt cancellation of, Two and A Half Men . Estimates of the financial loss to CBS are an astronomical, quarter-billion dollars. The show was wildly successful during a period when people everywhere have been avoiding television altogether. The show was the main choice of our airlines to entertain passengers in the sky. Yes, the show is downright funny and the players all have great chemistry. At the heart of this mess is a talented, handsome but troubled Charlie Sheen . Exhibitionistic excessive womanizing, drug and alcohol consumption has taken center stage. That behavior seems to now be pushing Sheen out in the cold. Sheen has been reckless not only with his own blessed career but the careers of everyone connected to the show.
