Come with me to The SHOT Show and More!

Las Vegas, NV --I went to Las Vegas for the 2019   SHOT Show and the Antique Arms Show .     I was with the CEO of  Eagle Grips, Raj Singh.     Come with me on our adventure!

Meet My Pal, Raj Singh and he will Tell you the Eagle Gun Grips Story!

CRIMEFILE NEWS COVERS THE 2015 LAS VEGAS SHOT SHOW!

Las Vegas, NV —I’ve been to every SHOT Show since its inception decades ago.   This is the largest Gun Show in the world and here every serious firearm or accessory maker exhibits their wares. The show is not open to the public and media credentials are only handed out after careful vetting.   Licensed firearm dealers, manufacturers, or other industry related professionals are invited to look over miles of exhibits.   Products are not sold at the show but qualified licensed dealers   make their orders stocking their stores for the next year at this show. CRIMEFILE NEWS sponsored by Eagle Grips with the assistance of guest hostess, Ariel Vitalia interviewed some select exhibitors.   Those interviews are below. Let me apologize in advance for the 20 second Eagle Grips commercial before each interview.   I think you get the message only seeing that ad once!   I must however after my 40 year association say that Eagle Grips are the industry’...

A Pretty Pair of Hideout Handguns

Phoenix, AZ --In this state where concealed carrying if firearms by law-abiding citizens requires no license or permits the choices of guns are unlimited.  However I teach and preach that conflict avoidance is the best policy.  Walk softly but carry a big stick is the right way. Here is a lovely pair of somewhat effective hideout guns.  One is the Smith & Wesson Model 340PD .357 Magnum.  The other is a vintage High Standard .22 Magnum derringer. Both of these guns are outfitted with elegant Kirinite grips from www.eaglegrips.com .  The color of this set is called LAVA and you'll never find a more durable or stronger material for gun grips than this incredible Kirinite. The color or pattern choices are nearly limitless.  This is all about personalizing your firearms.

Dennis Hopper and Peter Fonda, Move Over Raj Singh is here!

Chicago, IL --Im close to a Sikh family for well over 40 years.  The patriarch, Harbans Singh founded Eagle Grips.  That company makes incredible handgun grips out of excotic materials .  Eagle Grips have graced magazine covers and their designs are the best anywhere. Harbans retired a while back and now the CEO is my pal Raj Singh .  Raj likes motorcycles and has a small collection along with his showpiece is a Harley Davidson.  While I was there I shot some GoPro Video of Raj including aerial via a Phantom 2 quadcopter .   Yes, I'm have too much fun with the quadcopter…

A Thirteen Minute Peek at the 2014 Las Vegas SHOT Show

Las Vegas, NV —Firearms, and accessory manufacturers, along with law enforcement and hunting related exhibitors filled the Sands Convention Center last week. Some 67,000 people attended and Sin City got a needed financial boost.   Local businesses benefit along with the tax coffers. What’s so amazing is that cities like Chicago, Los Angeles, and Washington, DC will never get that financial benefit of this or the NRA Annual Meeting, Convention and Exhibit.   If we ever came to these cites we’d all wind up wearing handcuffs and watch our property confiscated.   With all the guns and gun toting attendees there are never accidents or any kind of violence in the cities we visit.   The crime rate goes down because the local thugs all know they are in for a serious challenge if they try and victimize these convention visitors.  More guns never brings more crime.  The SHOT Show is huge.   Covering the show as a full time multimedia journ...

The New Importance of Handgun Grips and the Aftermarket

Carol Stream, IL —In the Western suburb of The Windy City stands a business called Eagle Grips .  I have had a personal association with this firm since it began in 1971.  Back then I was a young cop just out of the Army.  I always liked guns so when I could get off on weekends I’d hit local gun shows.  Back then there were fewer gun bans and the gun shows were larger however the selection of available guns and accessories were limited by today’s standards.   Aftermarket gun grips were the made by a few companies and the pickings were slim.  That changed for me when I saw a Sikh Indian man at a table exhibiting grips at the then popular Waukegan Gun Show . At the time gun grip materials were usually either made from walnut wood or rubber.  The choices were limited.  There are problems with rubber grabbing your clothes and printing out through your clothing with telltale signs that you’re packing heat.   Walnut wood is to...

Grips From Eagle Grips Will Personalize Your Guns

Carol Stream, IL —In this western Chicago suburb is a business I’ve been associated with for over four decades, Eagle Grips.   It’s a high end gun grip maker that has graced hundreds of gun magazine cover throughout the world.  They offer genuine ivory, Sambar Stag, Mother of Pearl and American Elk Grips along with Rosewood and Ebony wood.   Now they developed a new process creating a material called Kirinite .  I can’t describe this material anything short of elegant and wonderful.  The material is impervious to dulling or scratching and the grips stick to the hands and fingers of the shooters.  Every possible property you’d ever want.

My Favorite Baby Wheelgun for Personal Protection

Smith& Wessom 340 PD Air Light .357 Magnum Chicago, IL —On the mean streets of the Windy City carrying a defensive weapon is a real necessity.  Politicians here have satisfied their political whims and desire to control the law-abiding folks with unconstitutional gun bans.  The actual written criminal defense of, “Necessity” along with the Bill of Rights trumps these political parasites. Chicagoans need to commute to work, shop and maintain social relationships as they seek out food and entertainment.  The Chicago Police Department is undermanned, outgunned and totally demoralized.  Self-help for survival is really the only choice these days aside from moving from this bankrupt metropolis.  It is very simple when you’re threatened, you must learn to shoot, scoot and stay mute.  Don’t feel sorry for your dead or wounded cowardly attackers since they made their wicked choice to victimize you.  The pictured five-shot revolver is e...

Having Fun at Winter Range In Phoenix, AZ

Phoenix, AZ —Every year at this time at the world class Ben Avery Shooting Range operated by the State Game and Fish Department is an event called Winter Range . This is for shooters and fans of the old West. There are shooting events for both mounted cowboys and everyone else. The rules are you must be dressed properly and use firearms for the 1800’s and early 20th century. What I do there is hang out with my friends at Eagle Grips that are show vendors. I see and socialize with lots of friends for this weeklong event. I shot a little video of a tiny portion of what’s there but it will give you an idea what its like.

Gun Grips can be Sexy! Spice up you personal protection!

Carol Stream, IL --In this Chicago suburb Eagle Grips is making incredible choices for gun owners. There is no compromise on materials used. Check out the latest material for your personal protection. You can set your own style and watch your friends copy your lead. Kirinite is the latest material employed by Eagle Grips to dress up your handguns. James Bond would always be as stylish as possible, How about you? Watch the video below!

Rich Color Has Finally Come to Handgun Grips

Carol Stream, IL —I recently suggested to my friend Raj Singh , President of Eagle Grips that he needs to shake up the gun world with some color. I had no clue what rich materials he’d find or just how fantastic they'd look. The material is so incredible that photo images can’t seem to capture the true luster and beauty of the gem quality material that must be cut shaped and polished into the finished product. Of course the traditional materials of rosewood, ebony wood, stagg, elk Mother of Pearl and ivory are still available but there is that special occasion handgun needs something different. Visit Eagle Grips at www.eaglegrips.com and see the entire line. American Handgunner Magazine editor Roy Huntington recently gave me his impression of the new material.

A Color Revolution In Gun Grips is Underway!

Carol Stream, IL--Eagle Grips has led the way in grip design for four decades. Comfort, control and constant product innovation is what this company is all about. The time has come for some Eagle Grips to lead gun owners into a new era of artistry and style. I've been a fan of Eagle Grips since nearly the day of it's birth. I've been personally associated with this company assisting with product development, design and public relations for many years. I've attended trade shows and such with this company and that's kept me close to gun makers and the trends of the industry. The attendees of NRA Gun Show in Pittsburgh, PA are in for a real treat. Eagle Grips will be unveiling the Art Jewel Collection of grips. This will send the industry on its ear like never before! As you can see from a few samples in the picture above these new products are show stoppers! If you can attend the show beginning Friday in Pittsburg stop by the Eagle Grips Booth at the show and s...

Evil Roy Revolutionizes the 1911 .45 Grip!

Phoenix, AZ —At the Win ter Range cowboy meet and shoot Eagle grips introduced the Evil Roy grip designs. They are both for the single action revolvers and 1911 .45 grips pictured here. Evil Roy is one of the best known SASS shooters in the world. He was able to figure out a way to make the 1911 grips thinner without alteration to the bushings of the 1911. The grips as you can see are flat and not round. The Evil Roy grips are available only at EAGLE GRIPS where the competitively priced grips can be shipped to you without delay. My Favorite Revolver Grips

Phoenix, AZ —It was 21 years ago in October when I had to do the unthinkable. I had to use deadly force to survive an encounter with a drunk armed with a .45 ACP Colt Gold Cup. The shooting took place outside in nearly total darkness. I was pistol whipped in the head with the big semi-automatic pistol. I reacted quickly pulling this Smith & Wesson .38 Model 649 Bodyguard. I fired five shots at my attacker critically wounding him and stopping the attack cold. The ammunition I used was Winchester Silvertip hollow-point, plus P. The stopping power of this little gun was anything but impressive. My assailant remained standing and never dropped his gun in my presence. The grips were of my own design. I submitted a proto-type to a dear friend in the gun grip business. The Secret Service grip , manufactured by Eagle Grips of Carol Stream, IL was born. It was an amazing feeling to be able to reach and put my hand on these grips during a terrifying event. My fingers rested in the...
