It’s Time To Retire These Clowns.

Chicago, IL —After a 1960’s major bail bond scandal here involving a prominent Cook County judge, laws were changed. The entire business was jettisoned from the courts in Illinois and the court clerks took over and things were simplified. The court clerks under the new law would temporarily keep ten percent of the total bail amount required and posted. After an accused defendant made all of his required appearances 90% of the money would be refunded to him or his lawyer by agreement. Conventional bail bond companies keep all of the ten percent as their fee. This money is better used when diverted to defense lawyers. Absconders would be hunted down by police not clowns like “Dog” The Bounty Hunter . The real benefit is that often lawyers would accept the bond slips as partial payment for services and that cut down the amount of public defenders needed. Should the defendant abscond the court clerk keeps the money. This became a win-win situation for all but the bail bondmen. Bail ...

Somebody Give Me A Reason To Buy An America Car…

Los Angeles, CA—I’m trying to decide on a new car. I’m looking at Toyota and Volkswagen. I’m afraid that if there is any bankruptcy of the manufacture of my car the service warranty would become trash. Also I don’t want to do business with a nationalized carmaker. That’s even more un-American than buying a foreign car. I guess I will be ultimately influenced by a real bargain price. All things being equal the Japs will get my cash.

Yet Another Reason Why Government Is Broke…

Los Angeles, CA —Despite common sense or reasonable fiscal management the Los Angeles County Board approved a request by Sheriff Lee Baca that would send 112 Sheriff’s deputies to Washington, DC in order to help police the Presidential inauguration over a four-day period. Airfare, hotels, wages and benefit costs for the cops have yet to be tallied. Not figured into this mess is the liability for mishaps, injuries and the expected follow up litigation. There are of course local concerns that Washington should reimburse the county for at least a significant portion of the cost. Wasting local money or federal money is always wasting my money. Let Washington’s officials hire private security vendors, or off-duty cops from surrounding states to deal with the event that will bring record-breaking crowds. Originally this spendthrift local politicians, wanted to send 500 deputies in their extravagant feel-good gesture. This reduced amount is considered as some sort of compromise. Even i...

TV Networks Line Up For Bailouts…

NBC, ABC and CBS are all in trouble without Barack Obama’s hundreds of millions for campaign ads. Their future is dim. American advertisers are stingy with their money and have gone to the Internet with the customer base leaving TV in the dirt. I somehow have little pity for these media giants. They have been poor trustees of the information as they broadcast Liberal propaganda they have disguised as news for decades. The wonderful mini-series and movies of the week of days gone by were replaced by cheaper reality trash. Perhaps it’s time for their bankruptcies but the new Marxist American government will never let new media companies develop replacement products. The Marxists know they can keep editorial control with bailouts so you can count on that with lots of new public service announcements to set the tone of political correctness under the controlling Bolsheviks. Evolution and the American way would suggest that new media companies rise from the ashes of losers.

Bailout!

Washington, DC —Our Congress and President George Bush would never leave Wall Street crooks high and dry! They came through for their pals while putting their hands deep in our pockets. In America you had a right under free enterprise to make investment gambles and lose your money. Bad companies were suposed to be allowed to go under so more reliable companies could prosper. Not anymore! Now the government will guarantee every crappy investment you could possibly make. This is a variation of Mel Brooks idea explored in his film and play, The Producers where a couple of crooked buffoons try to make the world’s worst play with intentions of overselling ownership and getting rich. Now companies can count on being rewarded for failures and mismanagement. What about ordinary gamblers who are bad at math and never win? They deserve full protection from the taxpayers too! I was recently talking with a friend about the possibility of being homeless sleeping by the railroad track because of ...
