Limo driver Adriano DeSouza described the Colt Cobra accurately. He said it was a black gun with brown grips. But it was not in Phil Spector’s hand in this exact pose DeSouza demonstrated in court as he’s claimed. If this Colt Cobra revolver was in Spector’s hand DeSouza would have never even seen the grips.
This startled limo driver simply assumed the gun was in Spector’s hand. If Adriano DeSouza really believes his own story we can only suspect in all the excitement his assumptions became his own reality.
When police found Clarkson and the gun this is what they saw. The brown grips are clearly visible on this gun at Clarkson’e feet. It’s uncontested that DeSouza saw Clarkson slumped in the chair as this photo reveals.

THE OLD EX COP
You can’t guess that there was a crime simply because that someone died. Then you can’t guess again that Phil Spector is a killer because of the accusations made by old girlfriends who came out of the woodwork saying Spector brandished guns at them decades earlier.
The tangible evidence of a crime exists or it doesn’t. Throwing theories up against the wall to see what sticks is no way to determine if there was a crime and that your suspect committed it.
You may have strong suspicions and a dislike for the person you want to accuse but this is America and we’ve made it somewhat difficult to convict people of suspicion alone.
Any theory including that Phil Spector murdered is possible and to many probable but our system of justice demands proof beyond a reasonable doubt. That’s simply has not been met at this trial.
There is a question we all want answered. Why didn’t Phil Spector call for an ambulance or police assistance after it was apparent that Clarkson was shot? I have my own simple theory. Spector called out to the limo driver for help and they limo driver did not fully hear or understand what Spector told him. Spector must have somehow thought that this was all being handled.
This was a self-inflicted gun shot wound. Whether it was suicide or an accidental shooting it was still self-inflicted by a depressed woman under the influence of both drugs and alcohol.
