Chicago, IL—In a city that is fiscally destitute there has been no end to needless massive litigation costs fighting Chicagoan’s rights to keep and bear arms. Good money after bad has been wasted by Chicago officials.
The Chicago City Council has been working outside the law by enacting unreasonable restrictions designed to violate Chicagoan’s civil rights. This time it was the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals that has slapped former mayor Richard M. Daley and his lawless aldermen for their obstruction. Read the opinion right here:

If I could do it, I'd grant everyone at birth a lifetime FOID good in every jurisdiction in the U.S. There would be no cost for the FOID. With a national FOID one should be able to buy and sell firearms on a personal level anywhere in the country. And if someone broke the law, due process could be utilized to suspend or revoke an FOID.
Such a law would appease some gungrabbers and would anger some NRA members but I feel would not violate anyone's rights. After all, we require registration to vote, why not a registration to qualify for firearms ownership? Just as long as there is no registration of firearms.
Won't happen though, and Chicago will continue to impede the lawful possession of firearms.
