Charge Drew Peterson With Murder Or Leave Him Alone

Booking Photo From Will County Jail May 21, 2008

Bolingbrook, IL--Drew Peterson just surrendered to Illinois State Police officers on an arrest warrant. He’s now charged with a highly technical gun law violation. Police now allege that one of Peterson’s rifles they took from him months ago is 3/8th of an inch too short.

At the time the weapon was seized Peterson was a sworn member of the Bolingbrook Police Department and used the rifle as a member of the SWAT team. I don’t think they rounded up the other members of SWAT team that have identical weapons yet.

Measuring barrel length is complicated and outside the training and ability of most cops. BATF agents and local cops have lost hundreds of cases against the people they’ve arrested because they measured improperly.

This arrest was made for the sole purpose of making Peterson a person prohibited from owning firearms so they don’t have to return his seized weapons. They will succeed at least until he is cleared of the charge.

Within a few short weeks we expect that gun laws like those in Illinois may be found to violate the Second Amendment in D.C. vs Heller by the United States Supreme Court. That may end this gun related prosecution.

This is happening on the eve of a court hearing that would have probably brought the return of Peterson’s eleven firearms seized during the fruitless missing person investigation of his current wife and the recently reclassified and reopened death investigation of an earlier wife.

Peterson will be posting $75,000.00 bail after cops waste more time trying to question him despite the fact he has invoked his rights to an attorney and to remain silent.

Indictment for a crime required only a paper thin level of evidence. It’s said prosecutors can get an indictment against a ham sandwich. I guess the same is not true of Drew Peterson.

This is not about Drew Peterson or whether he murdered anyone. This is about our way of life in America. This is our Bill of Rights and Constitutional protections. You’re next!

Paul I agree book him for the alleged murder or leave him alone.

Paul I had gotten in a bun battle with an very very hardened criminal. He fatally succumbed to his wounds (the final one was a head shot.)

Interestingly though, the gun that I used as a police officer had not yet been registered in my name. I had just boughten it from another Cop. I was sweating bullets while waiting for the results. After they did the firearms ballistics tests on it, that issue was never brought up. They used common sense. Could you imagine booking a Cop in a legitimate shooting like that, under those circumstances? Now with all these difficult to discern grey area geographical gun laws, who can keep up with them?
Truth is better said…
In the USA, laws are created several ways. The most heinous method used by our courts is that of "Precedent."
Once a lawsuit has been adjudicated and there is no statute in the code the case is considered as a precedent for future use in litigation.
As an example: here in a Southern California court an individual was deemed to have been in possession of an "arsenal." Possession of an "arsenal" is illegal. In this case the precedent established is that an arsenal consists of "more than four guns or more than 100 rounds of ammunition." To my knowledge this has not been used as a precedent to remove 2nd amendment rights but it is on the books and ready to be used.
In California anyone who has a Temporary Restraining order filed automatically loses their 2nd amendment rights, guns are confiscated, and will not be returned until the expiration of the order. However, in the code guns can only be held for a period less than that of the restraining order and therefore must be destroyed. (Or as practiced: placed into private collections or used as clean pieces.)
California usually paves the way for other states to follow, expecially in ways to enslave the commoner to the whim of those who wield the power. Forewarned is forearmed and we are a in struggle for survival in this former Democratic Republic, and as it rolls into total socialism we cannot allow our populous to become unarmed and totally dependent upon the police state. Please join and be active in some organization to protect what are so rapidly becoming our "former" rights.

A 40 Caliber Nightmare Is Caught On Tape.

So you’re confident that that .40 caliber S&W service round will keep you safe. Maybe you’ll have second thoughts after you see this video. One hot summer night in 1994 Tempe and Mesa Arizona police were involved in a pursuit with this suspect who ran into a stranger’s apartment to hide after being shot TWICE in the chest. He was shirtless and you can see the blood pumping out of those two wounds. What’s really frightening is just how agile this fellow is as he struts to the ambulance. If he was not handcuffed and had a knife or a gun, ask yourself if he could still hurt you, your partner or a hostage? If your jurisdiction demands that officers carry either the 9MM or the .40 Caliber S&W it’s time to show this video to your bosses and lobby to have the .45 ACP round authorized. The switch may well reduce the screaming by self-appointed community activists about how many rounds police had to use on a suspect. The really talented and courageous video journalist, Karen Ke...

The origin of the feature film, COME FRIDAY…

CLick On the pictures to see full size versions. Long ago there was a young lady I had the hots for in a big way (Yes, I know that hots is not a word). She was pretty, incredibly bright, and had some real elegance about her. She had a love for children and basic kindness that you don’t often see in someone her age. I met her parents and could understand she came from a much more stable home than mine. I was raised by a single, welfare mom and suddenly found myself way out-classed. For whatever reasons things did not workout they way I had hoped. Sadly for me, we went on our separate ways. From time to time I’d run into this lady in various places where our job had taken us. Whenever this happened my heart would skip a beat or two. I left my hometown Chicago, and moved to Arizona where I founded my detective agency. As a private eye and soon a TV news producer too, my career took me to the highest profile criminal events in Arizona and throughout the country. There’s no question that ...

America Will See Its Worst Race Riot Yet This Summer

Star Prosecution Witness, Rachel Jeantel Sanford, FL —Yes, the George Zimmerman trial here has thousands of African-Americans getting ready for some serious bloodletting. I don’t want to make idle and dire predictions but this nation has never been so divided and racially sensitive.  Our African-American President took sides on this case at the very beginning.  That ratified a George Zimmerman guilty verdict in the minds of millions. There’s just one little problem, and that is the murder case should have never been filed.  It was filed purely for political reasons despite the fact that it was a simple justifiable homicide.  Zimmerman was on the block watch lookout program and followed a suspicious Trayvon Martin after he used an improper entrance to a gated community.  Zimmerman was acting as the eyes and ears of the Sanford Police Department. Martin did not like being followed and knew that he could easily beat up the out-of-shape...
