California, the “Golden State,” has turned into a high-priced plantation for the working poor. There is a massive population of people grinding through menial jobs that pay nothing, going nowhere, and barely surviving. Many are functionally illiterate, politically clueless, and completely unaware they are being squeezed dry by the same Socialist Democrat machine that claims to “care” about them.
The taxes are obscene. Food, medicine, fuel, everything you need to stay alive gets taxed like it is a luxury yacht. And who designed this masterpiece of regressive punishment? The one-party ruling class, of course. The Socialist Democrat politicians who hold absolute power and never miss an opportunity to punish the people who actually work.
Their entire system depends on dependency. They want a huge population trapped, desperate, and reliant on government crumbs. They make sure working is barely worth it, so handouts look like the smarter option. Then they shift the burden onto the people still dumb enough to punch a clock.
Owning a car? Good luck. For the working poor, it is nearly impossible to buy one, insure one, maintain one, or even fuel one. But without a car, you cannot reach better jobs. That is the joke. You are trapped.
California has some of the highest gas taxes in the United States. Sure, you can take public transportation in some places, assuming you enjoy the added thrill of stabbings and chaos as part of your commute.
And the politicians? They promise to “tax the rich,” like always. But anyone with half a brain knows how this ends. The rich hire accountants. The poor get welfare. The working poor get the bill.
California’s leadership is not lifting people out of poverty. They are managing poverty, cultivating it, and milking it for votes.
As long as California stays deep blue, there is no realistic hope of returning to any version of greatness. The Golden State is gone.
Now it is just the Tax State.
